Today was a very hard day seeing Fred looking so peaceful in the chapel of rest wearing his RAF uniform with his beloved hat and photo of his granddaughters just sleeping and just wishing he would say something or just to hear that laugh when he would find something so funny it was so contagious but stood looking at him you feel so comforted by his presence like his hand on your shoulder and you share a moment In the room with those you love around you and it hits you how many people have wonderful regards for Fred ! He wasn’t just a superintendent registrar he registered thousands of births that then grew with the family’s into marriages with same name on the bottom F.w York and to follow deaths he was still very much still with those same family’s and bridge of kindness and warmth in such hard times he was known for many generations certification , he also wrote books , inserts , had pictures and captions and was world renowned in Hong Kong , and Singapore especially. Whom ever he met he had a a spirit that never grew old and a welcoming personality to anyone x he grew beautiful friendships and life long companions, and touched the lives of so so many people and we feel so proud and comforted to be able to share stories here and hear some to share with his grandchildren in later times x what a chap ! What a legend!

Granddad, we miss your stories that you could make up from nowhere , the way you took the Micky out of nanna , your sense of humour when you had the most contagious laugh . We know your with Cassie ( who has probably dug up all the flower bulbs where you are and chased the bees around ) we also miss you calling her dsd ( dog shape dog) , when ever we got told off you always had a way to make us smile with some funny voices and pretend your name was Emily , or when you we pottering around you would whistle through your teeth . We miss seeing you with you funny hats on and the big old camera round your neck . There’s so much we miss but there also so much we will treasure and are thankful for xx granddad you had to get the bus to the stars so you could stretch out those arms and glow from your heart so you could be the brightest star in the sky’s above x shine bright granddad and give Cassie a belly rub to xx
Goodnight granddad sleep tight we will see you shining bright x
Love from Ellie and lilly xxxxxx
